Our GPs are independent contractors who engage The Village GP for consulting space, reception, billing services, nursing staff, and medical equipment. Kindly note that our general practitioners have collectively chosen to operate under a time-based private billing schedule. The appointment fee is determined by the duration of the doctor’s time dedicated to your care, not the appointment type booked, but please try to book an appropriate length appointment (standard or long) to help the doctor to run on time. If your consultation is shorter than the appointment type booked, then you will be charged less and if your consultation is longer, you will be charged more.

All fees must be paid immediately after your consultation. A $15 late fee will apply to accounts not settled within 24 hours of the appointment, unless a prior arrangement has been mutually agreed upon.
For security and accounting purposes, we only accept debit and credit card payments. We do not accept cash or direct EFT payments, as these would require an increase in our fees.
A surcharge applies to all card transactions, both online and at reception. This fee is deducted automatically at the time of payment but will not appear on your invoice. The surcharges are as follows:

These surcharges cover the cost of processing card payments.
We request that you provide a minimum of 3 hours’ notice if you cannot attend your appointment. This provides us with the opportunity to offer your appointment to another patient who may need to see a doctor.
Our doctors want to be available for your needs and the needs of all our patients. When a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment, another patient loses an opportunity to be seen.
There is a fee of $105 for standard appointments that are cancelled within 3 hours or if you do not attend your appointment.
This fee needs to be paid prior to booking your next appointment & is not claimable with Medicare.
DVA Gold card holders will be ‘bulk-billed’ for all appointments.
Any procedures may incur an additional fee to cover consumables.
Those who are experiencing financial difficulty are asked to discuss their situation with our receptionists or their usual doctor.
Childhood Vaccinations
The Village GP Black Rock provide childhood vaccinations which are GP and nurse led immunisation service. Our registered nurses have additional training in vaccination and is highly skilled vaccination provider. At this appointment they will complete an age-appropriate growth check and developmental screen. Any issues identified the doctor will address within this appointment. These vaccinations appointments will incur a fee of $105.00
National Immunisation Program & Private Vaccinations
The Village GP Black Provides private vaccinations as a nurse led immunisation service. These appointments will incur a $105 non-Medicare Rebateable fee. Any issues identified will be referred to our doctors in a timely manner.
Procedures
Any procedure such as skin excisions, Mirena/Kyleena/Copper IUD insertion, Implanon insertion/removal will incur an additional out of pocket fee to cover consumables. Please speak to our doctors or receptionists to provide an accurate estimate of costs.
Return to Work (Work Cover)
Consultations will be charged at the time based rates. We ask that accounts are paid in full on the day of consultation. You may claim reimbursement via your Return-to-Work Coordinator.
