What are the pathology collection hours?

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 2:00pm (closed 12:00pm – 12:30pm for lunch)
• Saturday: 9:00am – 12:00pm
• Closed Sundays and Public Holidays

Walk-ins welcome — no appointment required.

• Collection of bodily samples (e.g., urine, stool)
• Antenatal genetic testing
• Cardiopulmonary testing (24hr Holter Monitoring, 24hr Ambulatory Blood Pressure & Electrocardiogram (ECG)

Do I need a referral?

Yes, a valid pathology referral is required. All referral forms are accepted, regardless of provider.

If you are contacting us about creating, changing or cancelling an appointment, please note that you cannot book or alter appointments via email. For your convenience you can make appointments via the website or on the HotDoc app at any time, or by phoning the clinic. If you need to alter an appointment please call our receptionists on (03)8202 3000.

Driving to the clinic

We are located at 29 Bluff Road. There is a 2 hour council car park adjacent to the practice, just 3 doors up the street.

Public Transport

The closest bus stop is at Karakatta St/Bluff Road and is serviced by the 600-922-923 Southland to St. Kilda via Sandringham line, or the 825 Moorabbin to Southland via Black Rock and Mentone Line.

If you or a family member require an interpreter for your appointment, please inform our reception team at least 24 hours in advance, where possible.

The Village GP Black Rock has an afterhours agreement with 13SICK (13 74 25) This service provides bulk-billed, medical consultations in the home weekdays from 6:00pm, Saturdays from 12 noon, as well as Sundays and Public Holidays.
