Nurse Cathy Nguyen

Nurse Cathy was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam. She graduated her Bachelor of Nursing course from Holmesglen Institute in Australia in 2017 and has been working in Primary Health Care ever since. In 2021, Nurse Cathy became an Accredited Nurse Immuniser. Nurse Cathy is committed to being able to provide patients the best care possible. Nurse Cathy takes a great deal of pride and joy in helping patients maintain their highest possible level of health and well-being through a systems-based approach, effective preventative health screening. She always does her best to focus on patients’ needs and preferences at all stages of their lives. Her ultimate goal is to coach patients and help them to set and achieve their own health and lifestyle goals, so they can live happy and healthy lives. Throughout her career, Nurse Cathy has already gained a wealth of knowledge and experience which allows her to provide the type of help to patients that she would want for herself. Nurse Cathy’s already diverse skill set includes: Immunisations, Wound management, Ear Syringe, Iron infusion, Chronic Disease Management,Health Assessment & Preventative Health Screening among others, making her a valuable member of the Village Blackrock medical team. Nurse Cathy feels that Primary health care is the cornerstone of the health system. It can help us prevent, treat and manage both infectious and non-communicable diseases- bringing the world one step closer to universal health coverage.
