Dr. Maureen Burke is the Principal GP and practice owner at The Village GP Black Rock.
Dr. Maureen graduated with an honours Bachelor of Science in Physiology at University College Cork in Ireland before migrating to Australia to complete her medical degree at the University of Sydney. She completed her internship in Sydney and then spent several years in hospital-based training in Melbourne, primarily in medicine (Endocrinology, Neurology, General Medicine) and critical care (Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine). She then realised her original dream of becoming a GP and trained rurally in Gippsland, achieving her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018.
