On-site Pathology

As part of our commitment to comprehensive patient care, The Village GP Black Rock offers onsite pathology services through our preferred provider, 4Cyte Pathology.
We value the contribution of 4Cyte Pathology as an integral part of our care team. Their onsite presence ensures timely, convenient access to essential testing for both our patients and the wider Black Rock community.
Pathology Collection Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 2:00pm (Closed for lunch from 12:00pm – 12:30pm)
- Saturday: 9:00am – 12:00pm
- Closed Sundays and Public Holidays
Walk-ins are welcome — no appointment necessary.
The 4Cyte pathology is available during these hours and provides a range of services, including:
- Blood tests
- Collection of bodily samples (e.g., urine, stool)
- Antenatal genetic testing
- Cardiopulmonary testing (24hr Holter Monitoring, 24hr Ambulatory Blood Pressure & Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Covid-19 & Respiratory PCR Testing
Referrals and Billing
A valid pathology referral is required at the time of your visit. All referral forms are accepted, regardless of which pathology company issued them.
Most standard pathology tests are covered by Medicare.
