Flu season is approaching, and it’s important to protect yourself and your loved ones with the flu vaccination. At The Village GP Black Rock, we’re committed to providing comprehensive healthcare services, including effective flu vaccinations for the local community in Black Rock, Beaumaris, Sandringham, Hampton, Parkdale, Mentone, Cheltenham, Brighton East, Hampton East, Bluff Road, Bayside, and Brighton, and nearby areas.

At The Village GP Black Rock, we offer both free and private flu vaccines to ensure that everyone in our community is protected this flu season. We have 2025 flu vaccines available (Government & Private), with private flu shots available for $25.

Free Flu Vaccines Under the National Immunisation Program (NIP)
If you’re eligible, the flu vaccine is free under the National Immunisation Program for the following groups:
- Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people (6 months and over)
- Children aged 6 months to under 5 years
- Pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy)
- Individuals aged 65 and over
- People aged 6 months and over with medical conditions that increase the risk of severe flu

Private Vaccinations
If you do not meet the criteria for the National Immunisation Program, you can still receive the flu vaccine for a small fee of $25.
Flu vaccines are available throughout the week at our immunisation clinic, and consultations are bulk-billed with Medicare. If you do not have Medicare, the consultation fee is $20.

We recommend the flu vaccine for everyone aged 6 months and over, but certain groups are at a higher risk of severe flu complications and are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated each year. These high-risk groups are eligible for free vaccines under the NIP, including:
