Driving to the Clinic
Start on Centre Road, heading west. Turn left onto Hampton Street and follow it south. Merge onto Beach Road and continue along the coast. At the Balcombe Road roundabout, take the first exit, then the first exit again onto Bluff Road. You’ll find us on the left at 29 Bluff Road, Black Rock.

Public Transport
From Brighton East, head to North Brighton Station and take the Sandringham train line towards Sandringham. After 3 stops (about 10 minutes), get off at Sandringham Station. From Sandringham Station, catch the 922 or 600 bus towards Southland Shopping Centre. After approximately 12 stops (about 10 minutes), hop off at Sylvia Crescent/Bluff Road, Black Rock. From there, it’s a quick 1-minute walk to our clinic at 29 Bluff Road, Black Rock VIC 3193.

Frequently Asked Questions

You don’t need a referral letter to attend The Village GP Black Rock. Appointments can be easily booked online at thevillagegpblackrock.au.au, or by contacting our friendly receptionists by phone on (03) 8202 3000.

Just email us at info@thevillagegpblackrock.au, but please inform us if it’s something urgent. Always call 000 in an emergency.

Your current doctor may refer you to another practitioner or specialist in order to help support and manage your condition, and referrals can be discussed during your consultation with us.

Please call 000 or go to your nearest hospital.

We accept payment by Credit and Debit cards. We don’t accept cash or keep it on the premises.

Some of the services available at The Village GP Black Rock may be covered by your private health fund. To find out if you are eligible for a rebate, please contact your private health fund provider.

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify the centre at least one business day prior to the appointment. Thank you.

You’ll be sent a confirmation when you book, and a reminder both five days and 24 hours before your appointment.

For regular patients of Dr Maureen, Dr Kelly-Anne, Dr Joshua, Dr Alison, Dr Louise and Dr Eileen most standard repeat or replacement scripts can be requested online.

This service is only available for existing patients. Your GP may not be able to provide a repeat prescription if they have not seen you recently.

Requests will only be completed by your regular doctor at the clinic. In the event that your regular doctor is on leave, you are required to make an appointment at the clinic to obtain your prescription.

Non-urgent script requests are actioned in 2-4 days and the fee is $25, an Urgent script request will be actioned on the day, if your Doctor is consulting on the day of request and the fee is $35.

 

You will be given any test results by your regular doctor, unless agreed otherwise.

The Village GP Black Rock has an afterhours agreement with DoctorDoctor. This service provides bulk-billed, medical consultations in the home weekdays from 6:00pm, Saturdays from 12 noon, as well as Sundays and Public Holidays.

We are accepting new patients! We are well-located for patients in the Bayside community including Black Rock, Sandringham, Beaumaris, Hampton, Cheltenham, Mentone & Brighton.
