The GPs working from The Village GP Black Rock operate on a time based private billing schedule. Patients only pay for the time spent with the GP. If you have booked a long appointment but only spend a short time with the GP as they are very familiar with your care, you will only pay for a short appointment.

You don’t need a referral letter to attend The Village GP Black Rock. Appointments can be easily booked online at thevillagegpblackrock.com, or by contacting our friendly receptionists by phone on (03) 8202 3000.

Your current doctor may refer you to another practitioner or specialist in order to help support and manage your condition, and referrals can be discussed during your consultation with us.

We accept payment by Credit and Debit cards. We don’t accept cash or keep it on the premises.
Some of the services available at The Village GP Black Rock may be covered by your private health fund. To find out if you are eligible for a rebate, please contact your private health fund provider.
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify the practice at least 3 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 3 hours’ notice may incur a late cancellation fee.
You’ll be sent a confirmation when you book, and a reminder both five days and 24 hours before your appointment.
For regular patients of Dr Maureen, Dr Alison, Dr Benjamin, Dr Olivia, Dr Louise, Dr Eileen & Dr Paul most standard repeat or replacement scripts can be requested online.

This service is only available for existing patients. Your GP may not be able to provide a repeat prescription if they have not seen you recently.
Please note: Schedule 8 medications (such as opioids, benzodiazepines, dexamphetamine or stimulant medications) cannot be requested via the online script request system. An appointment is required.
Requests will only be completed by your regular doctor at the clinic. In the event that your regular doctor is on leave, you are required to make an appointment at the clinic to obtain your prescription.
Non-urgent script requests are actioned in 2-4 days and the fee is $30, an Urgent script request will be actioned on the day, if your Doctor is consulting on the day of request and the fee is $40. Fees are non-medicare rebatable.

Yes, a valid pathology referral is required. All referral forms are accepted, regardless of provider.

Driving to the clinic
We are located at 29 Bluff Road. There is a 2 hour council car park adjacent to the practice, just 3 doors up the street.
Public Transport
The closest bus stop is at Karakatta St/Bluff Road and is serviced by the 600-922-923 Southland to St. Kilda via Sandringham line, or the 825 Moorabbin to Southland via Black Rock and Mentone Line.

The Village GP Black Rock has an afterhours agreement with 13SICK (13 74 25) This service provides bulk-billed, medical consultations in the home weekdays from 6:00pm, Saturdays from 12 noon, as well as Sundays and Public Holidays.
